Application Process

If you want to apply for a job that you think suits your qualifications and experience, just follow these steps.

  • Prepare your CV if you have not already done so - make sure you read our advice on how to prepare a good CV (link here)
  • Prepare a cover letter that addresses all of the criteria stated in our ad - make sure you read our advice on how to write a good cover letter (link here)
  • Send both electronically to us via our links
  • While we do try to respond to each and every candidate, this is not always possible given the volume of correspondence that we get. We would normally let you know within 48 hours if your application will be considered, however, if you don't hear from us this means that you did not get through an initial filtering process. This will most likely happen if you do not meet all of the relevant criteria or if there are other stronger candidates who have applied for the same position.
  • If we feel that our client may be interested in your application, we will contact you and arrange for an initial interview to see if we can go to the next stage.
  • If, after our initial interview, we feel that you may be suitable, we will arrange a direct interview with the client.
  • On interviewing you, the client will
    • Reject your application, or
    • Seek a further interview or interviews, possibly with other staff
  • If you are a preferred candidate, we will be asked to do a reference check. You will be asked to provide up to three separate referees.
  • If at the end of this process you are the successful candidate, you will be offered the position.
  • 2edu will negotiate terms and conditions on your behalf and arrange for the formal sign-off of all documentation.

Often, because of the complexity of the position and the various stakeholders involved, who are often very busy themselves or based on other campuses and sometimes cities, the process can take several weeks from beginning to end.  Be prepared for some delays and perhaps frustrations!
